God knows your needs

God knows your needs. How satisfying it is to know that God knows our needs? In Genesis 2:18, God says, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him”.

God created the animals and the birds from the dust of the earth. God created these animals and birds to be male and female. The responsibilities given to them are to reproduce the next generation and take care of their families that’s all. They don’t have any other responsibilities regarding any other animal or bird.

But God created man with a special purpose in mind. He wanted man to be in His image. Not just in look and feel, but the ability to take care of the “life”. That’s why he told man, to replenish the earth and subdue it (Genesis 1:28).

When God created the creatures, he created them male and female. But there was a time gap between man and woman while creating them. There is a purpose behind doing that. It highlights the importance of “female” in the life of a man. The definition of female in the sight of God is, “a helpmeet” for the man. The original word used is עֵזֶר (ay’-zer) the meaning of this word is help or succour. That means, in all the responsibilities of a man, a woman is given to makes things easy by assisting and supporting to accomplish the intended responsibility and assignment of God. The verse in Genesis 2:24 adds the importance of the role of the woman as a wife.

In the same way, God knows that it is not good for a believer to be alone. That’s why he sent the Holy Spirit to be the comforter, helper. Holy Spirit helps the believer to be transformed into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Even in our day-to-day life, God knows the situations we are going through. He knows our requirements, needs, shortcomings etc. He will arrange the help as it is required. The friends, well-wishers, unknown helping hands, favours from the employer, support from the co-workers, help from the neighbors and, help and support in many other unknown and unexpected forms, are given by God. How great His love is? God knows your needs.
